Our Curriculum Framework
The Primary Years Programme (PYP) of the International Baccalaureate (IB) is designed for students aged 3 to 12, fostering the development of the whole child as an inquirer. It emphasizes inquiry-based learning and a transdisciplinary approach, promoting critical thinking, creativity, and international-mindedness both in the classroom and beyond.
It provides schools with a curriculum framework of essential elements — the knowledge, concepts, skills, attitudes, and action that young students need to equip them for successful lives, both now and in the future. Schools work with the five elements to construct a rigorous and challenging primary curriculum for international education. The PYP aims to create a curriculum that is engaging, relevant, challenging and significant for learners in the 3–12 age range. The curriculum is transdisciplinary, meaning that it focuses on issues that go across subject areas.
The PYP is organized according to:• The written curriculum, which explains what PYP students will learn.• The taught curriculum, which sets out how educators teach the PYP.• The assessed curriculum, which details the principles and practice of effective assessment in the PYP.• Making the PYP Happen: A curriculum framework for international education 2009.

Inclusion
At both campuses, we are dedicated to creating a caring, supportive, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive, to ensure continuity and consistency. An inclusion team member from our Moka campus provides guidance and support at Beau Champ, allowing students with identified needs to benefit from the same expertise across both campuses. While we do not yet have a full-time inclusion teacher on site at Beau Champ, we are steadily building our resources and expertise to meet these needs. As our community grows, we are committed to expanding and strengthening our inclusion services so that we can fully support students who may require a modified learning programme or additional learning support.
